In the compensation agenda and the insurance claims agenda, I propose to my clients a reward in the form of a certain share of the success of the case, the amount of which depends on the value of the dispute and the presumed difficulty. However, I usually also ask for a deductible deposit of 10-20 thousand CZK plus VAT.
The client pays all ongoing costs, such as in particular court fees (however, in the case of a claim for compensation, in most cases there is an exemption from court fees by law) and deposits for expert evidence and fees to experts; however, as part of my legal services, I also process applications to the court for exemption from court fees and deposits in justified cases. In the event of an unsuccessful dispute, the client must unfortunately also bear the costs of the opposing party.
In other matters, I charge an hourly rate of 2,000 CZK + VAT. The client usually receives a monthly statement with an overview of the time spent effectively. In some cases, I may request a reasonable advance payment.
In some individual, time-limited cases, a one-time contractual fee is not excluded.
I am a VAT payer and therefore VAT at the basic statutory rate of 21% must be added to my remuneration.
